US Pricing for 2014 Nissan Frontier and Xterra Announced

4:58 AM

The Nissan Xterra (or Pathfinder in Europe) SUV and the Frontier (Navara) pickup are one and the same vehicle underneath. First entering production in 2004, the models have now been lightly updated for the 2014 model year with new kit and pricing information, all of which will be detailed below.

The Xterra only comes with a 4.0-liter 261 hp V6 engine and will now start from $23,110, for the basic two-wheel drive version, but the price can creep up to $31,090 for a PRO-4X trim all-wheel drive version, not including the $860 destination charges.

In the case of the Frontier, there is a lot more choice for prospective buyers, who can go for short- or long-wheelbase models with two- or four-wheel drive as we as a 152 hp 2.5-liter inline-four engine if you only need the one powered axle. Pricing starts at $17,990 here and goes up to $34,170.

Both can be with luxed up pretty much the same optional extras; heated front seats, new rim designs, Bluetooth connectivity with built-in integration, more advanced NissanConnect infotainment system with voice control and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate sound system – satellite radio can also be thrown in, though a separate paid subscription is required for it to work.
